About Us
Our club was chartered in 1975, meaning that for almost 4 decades members have served the community.
We meet at lunchtime on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
This provides an opportunity for people who find attending evening meetings difficult, to become part of the Lions family.
Meetings start at 12:30 pm, conclude at 2:00 pm, and are held at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania (RYCT),
Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay.
Our projects generate the funds we use to support Lions Foundations and activities nationally and internationally
but we are most concerned with supporting worthy causes in our own local community.
You will see our members working on the gates at the Royal Hobart Show & the races at Tattersalls Park.
This is a way we raise money to fund the community work of our club.
Our club also collects used stamps from businesses who kindly keep them from their incoming mail. These are trimmed
and sold to dealers and the proceeds support The Lions Children's, Mobility Fund.
There really is something for everyone to get involved in and with another couple of hands, we could do even more.
