Lions Club of Hobart Town Inc
The Lions Club of Hobart Town Incorporated was chartered on 15 December 1975 and since then has been actively supporting the Local and the wider Tasmanian community. The Club also supports the Australian and International Communities through Lions Foundations.
We are a community not-for-profit and part of the largest service organisation in the world are committed to supporting many worthwhile services and are always ready to assist when the community needs a hand.
The club's major activities for fundraising during the year are -
- Circus Quirkus
- Sale of Lions Mints and Lions Christmas Cakes
The money raised from these events supports our donations to organisations such as The Tasmanian Fire Service Family Support Fund, The Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation, Ronald MacDonald House, ABC Giving Tree, Parkinsons Tas, Radio for Print Handicapped, St John Ambulance, Lions Childhood Cancer & Cord Blood Research Foundation, Children's Mobility Foundation, and many more.
The Club meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm at
